COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS

Learn more about pregnancy and chilbirth from our skilled, experienced nurses. 

 Childbirth Education Classes are taught in three session education units. These classes help families prepare for the birth and care of the infant. Remaining 2010 classes are held on: July 1, 8, 15; August 5, 12, 19; October 7, 14, 21 and November 4, 11, 18.

Early Pregnancy Classes are taught in one session. The class helps women who are newly pregnant, or who are planning to start a family, learn what to expect and how to manage a healthy pregnancy. Remaining 2010 classes are held on:  July 27, September 28, November 16.

Breastfeeding classes are taught in one session. The class helps women learn successful breastfeeding techniques. Remaining 2010 classes are held on: June 22, August 24, October 26, December 14.

 Diabetes Education Classes are designed to teach people with diabetes how to manage this complex illness. Classes and consultations are available through Certified Diabetes Educators and approved by the American Diabetes Association. Call 715-934-4229.

A Diabetes Support Group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. in the Hospital Conference Room. Everyone who would like information on the disease is welcome to attend.
